Why Investing In Yourself Will Benefit Your Business

As a business owner, you're constantly evolving and having to learn and adapt. It’s just part of entrepreneurship!

But it's not just about learning how to build and run a successful business. It's about staying ahead of the game and embracing the shifting landscapes of software and services that shape your industry.

And that’s what I’m currently doing in my business! I’m on a mission to expand my knowledge to elevate my services and offer suite!

This learning process has really been key to the growth of my business so far so I wanted to share what that’s looked like for me and the impact it has had on my business

Past Education

The start of my marketing career began when I finished university and got a job at a digital marketing agency.

During this role, I learnt a lot about digital marketing but I also learnt that this was what I truly loved to do. It helped me solidify my career path and realise that this was exactly what I was meant to be doing with my life!

Since then I’ve started Sophie Angell Marketing and I feel like I’m learning new things every day naturally through running and building a business. But I’ve also done some more formal education to better understand the world of marketing!

I studied with the Digital Marketing Institute and gained my Professional Diploma in Digital Marketing. Although having a formal qualification like this isn’t always a necessity in this space, it’s definitely a benefit and something I’ve found useful in being able to better serve my clients.

I’m also a Klavyio Partner now which is really exciting. To become a Klaviyo partner you have to have undertaken several modules within their education program.

Because I’ve invested time in learning through them, I’m able to get access to exclusive support and resources from Klaviyo so I can continue to serve my clients in the most comprehensive way.

Current education

So, after learning a lot in my first marketing job, gaining my Diploma in Digital Marketing and becoming a Klaviyo partner, you might be wondering what am I working towards now…well let me tell you because it’s exciting!

I’m currently working towards two things:

The first is a Meta qualification.

I use Meta every day and I know a lot about how it works. However, I wanted to solidify the knowledge I’ve learnt through expansive experience and root what I know with formal training. Mainly to have something to prove I really know what I’m doing when it comes to working in Meta to provide another level of assurance to my clients!

The second thing I’m working on is the most exciting because it’s going to lead to a brand-new service in my business!

Last year I announced a new service: Podcast repurposing.

This has been such a great service, one that I love offering and that clients have really been benefiting from.

But I want to take it to the next level and be able to support business owners who want to start their podcasts from scratch.

However, in order to do this, I needed to learn a few things about creating and growing a podcast as this is fairly new to me!

This is why I’ve enrolled on the Podcast More course by Lisa Johnson and Audio & Co.

This course will be covering everything from planning your first podcast episodes to launching a podcast and even how to record, host and edit podcasts too!

Although I’m an expert when it comes to creating content strategies and have years of experience launching services and creating social media campaigns, I want to deepen this knowledge and how it relates to podcasting.

This way I’ll be able to build a new service that enables you to create and launch a successful podcast to increase your visibility and strategically enable you to grow your business!

With that exciting news in mind, I have a question for you:

When it comes to podcasting, is there any particular support you would want?

Slide into my Instagram DMs and let me know! This way I can make sure my new service is perfectly put together to offer strategic support that really helps you!
